Cryogenic Bellows

A cryogenic bellows is engineered for service at very low temperatures — LNG, liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, and similar lines — where material selection and insulation matter as much as the bellows geometry itself.

How it works

Materials have to retain ductility at cryogenic temperatures rather than becoming brittle, and the assembly is typically fitted with an insulating outer jacket to manage heat ingress and protect personnel and equipment near the line.
